The Attorney General or a prosecuting attorney may pursue an action for injunctive or other equitable relief. The court shall hold a hearing on the motion for a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction within 30 days of service of the petition. It shall not be a violation of this act to provide aid to federal officials in the investigation and prosecution of a case where there is reasonable suspicion to believe that the suspect engaged in criminal conduct. This act is similar to SB 858 (2026), HCS/HB 3105 (2026), HB 3130 (2026), and is similar to provisions contained in HB 2660 (2026), SB 1488 (2026), SB 23 (2025), and HCS/HB 1175 (2025).
