Adoption of the amendment previously recommended by the committee on ways and means substituting a new draft with the same title (senate, no. 2945), and pending the main question on ordering the bill to a third reading, mr. tarr moved to amend the pending new draft by striking, in line 16, “175,000 miles” and by inserting in place thereof the following:- “150,000 miles”. after remarks, the amendment was rejected. the ways and means amendment was then adopted. the bill (senate, no. 2945) was then ordered to a third reading and read a third time. the question on passing the bill to be engrossed
